Like with #thameswater, they will wait until there is a cholera outbreak or a supply outage lasting weeks before they do anything and then have some half-baked panicked public-private finance mash-up bollox that everyone hates

Thames water have recieved a £3bn helpline whilst consistently ripping off the average homeowner. This company has a monopoly on peoples bills in a large portion of the south and unlike gas and electric people don't have the choice to change.Petitions - UK Government and Parliament
OFWAT is investigating, but on past experience will likely accept some shabby defence from TW rather than actually (further) sanction them for obtaining money from customers under false pretences (what else would you call it, when all schemes were intended to be completed by next month & will not?)
