Good morning tooting friends. A lot of you have realised I haven’t been on here for a week & thank you to everyone for the messages, I didn’t mean to concern anyone. It’s kind of nice to be missed though, thank you ☺️. I decided that I needed time out for some good self care so turned off notifications, logged out & have stayed off all social media, most news channels & any reporting of the farce that was the inauguration plus avoiding most of the first week crazies I knew would happen. Not that I’ve missed it all, it’s unavoidable. So the only thing I will say about the 🤡 is to quote this proverb I came across - “When a clown enters a palace he doesn’t become a King, the palace becomes a circus!” & we’re going to be on the merry go round for the next 4 years.
Despite that I’ve a pretty good week, I’ve read, watched dvds & on demand shows, harvested cucumbers 🥒 silverbeet 🥬 & tomatoes 🍅 from the garden every day now & mowed lawns. I’ve been to the pool 🏊🏼‍♀️ 3 times this week, managing at least 1km each time - winning there 😊. I’ve done a couple of balance classes & some meditation 🧘🏼‍♀️ classes here at home all of which was lovely.
Last night I decided I wanted to finish the week with a walk around the river, but as today is going to be a hot 35c I needed to do it early. Up & out of the door by 6.15am & it was the perfect time to go & the perfect way to end my self care week - it’s been what I’ve needed. Home by 8am & I’ve just finished breakfast & watered the garden.
So I’m back, feeling calmer & less stressed, it was exactly what I needed. Now to get back to things.

6.30am & the beauty of the mighty Murray River in the early morning light. A large eucalyptus tree frames the picture on the right with grass on the bank. The sun has not long risen & shines on the trees on the far bank & the grass in the foreground.
