I didn’t get my flag out today because rain but we fly it. We see you. We are grateful you are here.

A beautiful trans flag gently floating in the breeze from a flag pole on the side of a house. The light blue, pink and white stripes waving, signaling support for trans folks in all their lovely forms. Winter bare trees are in the background against a blue sky with a bit of snow still on the ground. Photo from February 2025.

On this Transgender Day of Visibility, I want to say that I'm grateful for each of the transgender people who have touched my life. And I'm especially grateful for the ones who walk with me on life's journey. 💞🏳️‍⚧️🙂 #TransgenderDayofVisibility #tdov

At a small Trans Day of Visibility rally at the Texas Capitol. Happy #TDOV everyone!

Apparently it's trans day of visibility, so here's me being visible, in exactly the way I'm visible every other day...
I'm just me, a woman, who happens to be trans...

This time last year, I was giving a talk about tdov in the the company I was then working in.
This year, I'm on holiday, enjoying a coffee earlier and, now, an alcohol free beer (I'm driving!).
Cheers! 🍻

I am not sure I am interrupting your post correctly. But one highlights trans authors for the same reason you highlight any other group that has been discriminated against, systematically silenced, and locked out of the publishing industry. The same reason you support POC authors, women authors, ASD authors, etc.

It is not necessarily because they write about being that minority; it is because they are routinely silenced. Whatever they write in someway reflects their life experience as a marginalized individual.

I fit none of the criteria you mention, yet my characters reflect the realities of being trans, lesbian, and/or asexual. Undoubtedly, it also reflects life as ASD without my being aware of it.

We need your help to protect the lives of Trans folks in jamaica, by providing safe and discreet housing, transportation, and other necessities that allow them to avoid being murdered or harass by the police and the public.
