A huge wave of ice and water flowed down the Sjoa River in Heidal on Sunday afternoon. The weather phenomenon is called an ice drift or ice front, and spectator Anders Skogum has never seen such a large ice drift before: – It simply came like a tidal wave.

I think Sjoa flows into Gerainger Fjord? Wonder how that looks when it gets there! Would love to see a video of that - and maybe a Hurtigruten navigating thru it 😀
Edit: Ah no - just checked. Goes the other way - and out past Oslo into Fredrikstad...via a stack of big lakes which will presumably eat the flood and ice...
