Reading about #fediverse and how it interconnects mastodon, peertube, pixelfeed and other platforms to where you can interact with the content without even having an account on the other platform. Is it all by posting links? I can’t think of content I’ve seen on here from one of those other platforms, u less it’s suppose to be that seemless. Thanks for helping me figure this out!
Yes, it can be done without a second thought.
Unfortunately, with Mastodon you can't see what software the other person is using.
We're both like that, you use mastodon for software access, I use #Calckey
The software only determines what the Fediverse looks like for you. For someone who uses Pixelfed, it looks like Insta and yet we can like and comment on their pictures

In total there are over 150 different software accesses to the Fediverse and all of them can do something special or different
