Georgian Security Forces Beat Protesters, Journalists, As Diplomats Slam Government

"More than 100 Georgian diplomats have slammed the government's halting of EU membership talks after security forces violently dispersed protesters and journalists at a rally in Tbilisi over the move.

More than 30 people were hospitalized early on November 29 after police used tear gas, water cannons, and beat some of the thousands gathered to vent their anger over Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze's announcement that his government was suspending EU accession talks until 2028."
