It's really scary how far Poilievre's disinformation about journalism in Canada has spread with the help of Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg, and the Trump administration's political interference. We need to fight back and speak out. We can't let our echo chambers make us complacent that the rest of the country is informed.

Canada just said that journalists should be paid for their journalistic work, and Mark Zuckerberg said, "screw that, I'm not giving journalists a cent". End of story. Meta is a US owned company. US billionaires don't think they should have to play fair, by anybody's rules. That's all there is to it. Don't let them victim- blame Canada for their abusive bullying. Mark Zuckerberg, Elon Musk, Donald Trump, and the Conservative Party of Canada have been working together to take down free, independent journalism across both Canada and the United States, especially public media because they cannot be controlled by wealth. That's what this is all about.
