The view from the US MSM on #Russia/#Putin or #China (or Venezuela & a few others) will always likely be colored with a good deal of wishful thinking. But I have for a long time felt that the US is sacrificing Ukrainians just to grind down Russian military capability. The longer-term wins in #Syria & the broader ME will be a part pay-off for that strategy.
