I'm looking for Canadian news and found this list of independent news publications in Canada, both national and local:

It's an interesting bunch. But I was disappointed by social media accounts listed on their websites. Almost all included the legacy companies (interestingly, none of them implemented the Twitter rebranding). Several included Bluesky, and only one had an (unmonitored) Mastodon account:

Likewise, CBC only had the legacy sites (and they did use the new brand name for Twitter).
