You know this may be correct. When the DNC said is was a private organization in court, as they can pick who they want, it suggested democracy was not even an option.

i think it is pretty safe to say if 75% of billionaires back your opposition, doesn't matter who you put in place. They own the media, platforms and will do whatever necessary to get their candidate elected. That's the reality in USA and thinking they'd back a left leaning candidate other than to purely act as a spoiler candidate is just pure fantasy.

Of course oligarchs own the duopoly & they wouldn't stand for an anti-oligarch candidate. The point, imo, is for the actual democrats in the party to leave en masse to create an Actually Democratic party.

PS Who the Dem oligarchs choose as a candidate still matters a bit, imo, not, of course, to ditch neoliberalism, but perhaps to stave off Republican fascism.
