I actually get not wanting to call it a “Nazi salute” when it is/was objectively a *fascist* salute used also by Italian and Spanish fascists, the Imperial Japanese and many others. should be OK to say that.
Anyway, I'm happy to give #elonmusk the benefit of the doubt that he may have been invoking Franco or Mussolini rather than Hitler. As the ADL notes, we can’t really know what that fascist dipshit was thinking.
