As an Irish man myself I find it abhorrent that anyone Irish could ever have anti-immigrant views.

It's estimated that anything up to 85% of the Irish population emigrated during the famine. And we weren't always welcomed with open arms, but we went because we had no choice.

If anyone should understand the reasons why people emigrate it's the Irish, and any Irish person who doesn't is sorely lacking in historic education.
