The Enchanted Forest; a thread.

Some photos from a night time walk round Loch Dunmore, in Faskally Forest near Pitlochry. The event runs every year in October & is lovely.

Huge trees lit up, themed decorations & some set pieces combining lights and music. It's a treat.

Photo of the entrance sign, with a stylized fir tree logo on the left and THE ENCHANTED FOREST in green light (although this isn't a great photo - tricky to get without someone standing in front of it - so the light looks white rather than green).
Photo of the view over the larger part of the loch, There are tall trees lit up in red, blues, greens and pinks, and they are reflected almost perfectly in the water on the bottom half of the photo.
Photo of part of the projected show on the large part of the loch. It is an explosion of colour, yellow, orange, reds with blue at the edges, and you can see some lit up trees around the edges.
Photo of the projection on the loch, showing large frogs peeking out of the water.
The Allegro Tunnel viewed from over the water & before walking through.

A photo of the tunnel from across the loch. From this angle it looks like a set of rainbow coloured vertical stripes with lit up trees behind and water in front. The water reflects the lights.
Photo of the tunnel from over the water, but zoomed in quite tight. The vertical strips of colour are bright, but they have jagged black areas cut out - the leaves and branches from surrounding trees. You can see people walking through the tunnel, in the darkness between the stripes.
A photo of the tunnel entrance. The frame is black, and there is an angular archway of rainbow coloured stripes. At the bottom the black includes the silhouettes of some of the visitors heads and shoulders.
A photo of the tunnel from a few metres away. There is a group of people walking through, heads lit up reflecting the different colours lights from the angular archway. To the left and right you can see lit up trees in pink and blues.
There is a wooden bridge over the narrow part of the loch & this year it was glitter-balled up and I LOVED it. Also featured frogs nearby, which glowed mysteriously in most of my photos but we managed to capture one in detail!

Photo of a wooden bridge across the loch. It has glitter ball style mirrored pieces dangling down the side, and is lit by orange lights. The trees behind are also lit in pinks and orange.
Photo inside the bridge across the loch, lit up in blue. There is a glitter ball in the centre flinging dots of light all around, and the walls are strings of circled mirrors. There are some people walking through.
A photo looking over the loch with fake lily pads and lit up frogs sitting on them, but the camera settings mean they are just little enigmatic glow balls. There is a nearby tree trunk cutting across the photo in the foreground, and many tall leafy trees on the far bank lit in white, blues, pinks and orange.
A photo of a green frog light, sitting on a leafy woodland ground.
BIG SHINY FLOATING BALLS!

Also awesome trees. So so many awesome trees.

But also BIG SHINY FLOATING BALLS

#Scotland #photography #EnchantedForest
A tall photo looking across water to a wooden boathouse and woods beyond. On the loch in front of the boathouse are a set of large shiny floating balls, lit up yellow and reflected in the water. The tall trees beyond the boathouse are lit in pinks and purples.
A tall photo looking up the trunk of a tall tree. It is lit from below with a bright pink light.
I liked the String Section, although the composer Teenager was troubled by some of the positioning of the musical notation 😆

#Scotland #photography #EnchantedForest
A photo of a multi line pink music stave connecting the trees. There are a number of pink lines running diagonally across the image, with some notes and a treble clef positioned on it. It is set against a black background except for a few dots of blurred light form across the loch.
Photo of pink and green strings connected to tall trees that are bathed in blue light. There is one tree trunk central to the image, and layers of green and pink lines stretch out in both directions, like wings. More green lines with some blue musical notes on are in the background on the left.
Let there be no doubt, if I ruled the world all bridges would wear bling like this. Lots of other good stuff too, obvs, but blinged up bridges FTW.

There will now be a short break, while I get a cup of tea and see if I can find a photo of shiny balls that need a face drawing on them.
So a cup of tea and some quick scribbling later and I can no longer avoid the fact that I am feeling fine other than a slightly sore arm, and should really do a few chores. I might add a bit more to this thread when I've finished going through the final photos.

Have some shiny happy baubles until then 😁

#sillyScribbles #bigShinyBalls
A photo of the large floating shiny balls lit up in yellow in front of a small wooden boathouse. I have drawn a smiling face on each of them, because of course I have. In the distance are tall trees lit up in blue and pink.
As much as it would amuse me to post many MANY shiny balls and colourful trees I think there's just one last piece to finish the thread off, because the colours are so beautiful.

Also, butterfly 🦋

I should never, ever EVER mark a thread with /end

smh

Anyhow, if you like these and would like to see a small selection from last year, you can do that at the thread linked below, because it turns out I did the same thing then

You know what - I was going to reply to your post saying "I bet that's not the end" but I wanted to give you the benefit of the doubt 😁
It was inevitable. I forgot all about doing the 1/n numbering as I went down anyway, why on earth did I decide it needed an /end?!
