This week I've been mainly reading, no. 192.
There are a fair amount of novels about the art world, but Hari Kunzru' new book, Blue Ruin (2024) is certainly one of the better ones. Its a tale of two young artists & their divergent careers/lives. He uses the story (told as a reflection on events by one of the artists) to offer an interestng but critical view of the contemporary world of art & its business end(s). Very readable & thought provoking, I really enjoyed it!
