I don't think #SamKerr is going to win this one. I suspect what she said, she said in #fear and #anger but you can't codify the #law to allow for that.

Even as no lawyer that much is obvious. Every law must apply to everyone or there will be so much resentment the law will be unenforceable.

In the same way as a woman who makes a sexist joke, she will have to pay for it.

Aww. How does it feel to be wrong?
Well emotionally I'm happy with it. I think she's a good sort who just lost her temper, but it does seem illogical and I wonder if it will create an awkward precedent.

But I guess that question is one for the #lawyers

It was a rubbish case, and should never have been brought to court. There are far too many of these petty, trivial, spite-filled suits tying up court time. Media is all about trashy magazine sensationalism these days.

I suspect many of these cases are brought because everyone sues for everything now.

In that sense the UK is getting more like the USA.

What should have happened is the taxi driver should have let her out and sued her for the valeting costs later.

The real puzzle in this case is why the police advised him to bring her to the police station.

I would like to know who the idiot who made that decision is.
