Women are the perennial victims, and the most likely to suffer the victim-blaming that comes from smug, self-righteous shit-heads. It's far worse when police fail to act on reports of stalking or coercive control, or actual threats of violence. Do they feel remorse? They sure as hell don't do any mea culpas, or face consequences.
