After setting up a new #activitypub instance with #mastodon I immediately felt the urge to set up a #BlueSky instance as well. After all, its number of users is growing faster than the number of #fediverse users, engagement is higher on it, many of the top/famous people working in my industry are on it, and it is easier to self host.

But, despite all that, my impression is that the quality of posts and interactions on activitypub is superior. I know everyone’s experience in the fediverse is different; maybe I’m just lucky I found interesting people to follow. I still have a BlueSky account at bsky.social, but more and more I find myself checking Mastodon instead of BlueSky for posts that pique my interests.
