The blogging platform #Ghost is working on adding #ActivityPub integration. That means, among other things, being able to follow Ghost-powered blogs and comment on articles right from your Mastodon account. The website they made to explain their plans is really nice! This is what momentum looks like.

What if Strava but with #ActivityPub?

Don't be naive, people. #Facebook is only interested in collecting more data and to connect that data to profiles to feed to the ad machinery. If #ActivityPub can be used for that, they will give it a try. That's it. That's all. It's still Facebook.

Anyone out there working on a federated alternative to Bandcamp?

(Ideally something that is geared towards artists self-publishing music, as well as helping musicians connect with each other/fans, schedule events, and hopefully make a living without the usual gatekeepers.)

I'd be very interested in using or even helping to build something like that.

oh interesting, so it's like a broadcast, I will test this out and see how it looks on different parts of the #fediverse

Wishing I could just arbitrarily share links to music files to my channel from the existing collection.. A bit as if it was a blog with #activitypub identity

What I find odd is that newly added music files, on a channel, don't appear as posts in the @admin feed. #Funkwhale isn't really obvious to me in terms of #activitypub
