Yeah, what if Mastodon had something like 'Lydia has joined the discussion' thing when you log on or re-awaken your computer from sleepy mode?

Maybe that's something you could sign up for.

I just think sometimes, you're on #Fedi but you don't have anything to say, or there's nothing to read, but it would be nice to know that people know you're online anyway, just lurking, up to no good as usual. But you're there somewhere.

Maybe we, on #Fedi, can create a hashtag that people can follow, that announces you're on Fedi but don't necessarily have anything to say.

You know, like Cheers or something - the TV comedy show - you just drop in, pull up a chair, any everyone is like, hey dude! and you go, hi, and ... well, that's about it. I haven't really thought this all the way through.

I kinda want to buy #Fedi-esque merchandise for Christmas presents - like Bonkwave T-shirts or something - but nobody I'd give the presents to would care or understand what the #Fediverse is.
