Often US manufacturing went off shore because labour in the US was too high and things could get done cheaper elsewhere. Bringing manufacturing back to the US will mean higher prices for goods built in the US. If memory serves, Apple tried it with the iPhone a few years back and the price was double. But, hey... you've got low-skill low-paying jobs back in the US. Instead of educating their workforce …
