This cave is absolutely beautiful.

Isn't it marvellous that people from more than 9,000 years ago are still greeting us?

It's also more than astonishing that people made their way from the frozen lands of #Alaska to the deep south of #Patagonia in such a short time.

This little guy was spotted by a biologist during a helicopter fly-over survey of eagle nests on Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Anchorage, Alaska. The nest was occupied in May by an adult male & female with one egg, but later, the nest was vacated. Glad some little soul found a good use for it.

This is called vetch. It looks somewhat like lupine and is purple-bluish. They were all over the place in various places we stopped.
