It was granted authorization for further services in the US on the condition that it won't cause harmful interference.
In 2022, T-Mobile US and SpaceX announced plans to use suitably equipped Starlink satellites for cellphone coverage in remote areas of the US. In December 2024, One New Zealand launched a direct-to-cell messaging service for eligible customers.
Starlink connectivity has proven to be a valuable asset for Ukraine during the conflict with Russia.
