So I know in the scheme of things this is hardly a serious issue.... but:

as some of you may have seen the Vasari Corridor (linking the Uffizi & the Pitti Palace) in Florence is to open to the public (previously entrance was limited).

All well & good but currently the walls are reportedly bare, and they are exploring what to hang on them.

But, when we visited some years ago it still held the museum's famous, extensive collection of artist self-portraits; where have they gone?

Working for a couple of month in and around Florence (great train links ) I used to see the Ponte Vechio at least once a day. Now that it is open, we must see whether we can organise a trip back in the new year.
