Who is Dr Hussam Abu Safia?

The director of the Kamal Adwan Hospital has not been heard from since Israeli forces arrested him in a raid on his medical facility last month.

Here’s what we know about him:

Dr Hussam Abu Safia, 51, a paediatrician by training, holds a master’s degree and a Palestinian board certification in paediatrics and neonatology.
