Zunächst: Wo stehen wir bei #Steckersolar?

Wahrscheinlich gibt es derzeit ca 2 Mio #BalkonSolar Geräte. Kleine Speicher, wie sie von #Anker, #Hoymiles, #AlphaESS, #Zendure, #Sonnenrepublik angeboten werden sind massiv im kommen, aber wahrscheinlich haben weniger als 5% der #pluginpv einen.

Spannend sind Speicher, die direkt an einer 220 V Steckdose irgendwo im Haus sitzen (wo es warm ist).

Und solche die mit dynamischen #Strompreisen arbeiten können. Sprich: #Speicher laden wenn #Strom billig, Haus versorgen wenn Strom teuer. Aber wie netzdienlich machen?

2024 11,7 MWh an Strom erzeugt mit verschiedenen kleinen Anlagen, die zum Teil jetzt 23 Jahre alt sind. Davon wurden 52%, also 6 MWh ins Stromnetz eingespeist.

Gas konnten wir 2024 auch nochmal etwas einsparen, durch bessere Steuerung und gut funktionierende Solar-Thermie. Vermutlich auch wegen Klimawandel.

Ich freue mich auf den Moment, wenn wir ne Wärmepumpe bekommen.

I haven't done any research on this yet (hello #lazyWeb!) but there are balcony solar panels for apartment dwellers, yes?

Are there ones small enough to hang out of a typical US double-hung window (I don't have a balcony)? Are they of any use?

(I have four south-facing windows that get unobstructed sun ALL day long--which I can attest to given how hot my apartment can get in the summer)

And what can you do with them? I assume at least charge USB devices? Is there more you can do?

(once I go do some research myself I'm happy to report back)

Placing solar panels over crops protect them from hail and tempersture variations such as frost in the morning. This experiment saw a significant increase in yield of grapes.
Earlier I saw a similar result with raspberries.
