#Journal of a slightly wet, but relaxed, Dutch Pixy 🧚🏼♀️ (Sunday, 17/11/2024).
TL;DR it was a silly weather day, with some good rains... And I've been able to relax with some gaming as well. 😊
The alarm woke me this morning. I woke up and saw loads of notifications, which made me quite happy! And then, I forgot to hop on the scale, as I was eager to get to the messages 😂. I cared for Arwen and took my meds. Then, onwards to the gym!
I enjoyed my protein shake, while I was busy catching up to a sweet friend. It's always so lovely to hear from them. I rode the seated bike while reading and answering the messages, and before I knew it, my leg started to give out and I'd done 40 minutes already! Wow! A nice massage in the chair and then I headed back home.
The weather witches 🧙🏻♀️ promised rain, and then some more rain, so it was gonna be a wet night. I washed up, changed clothes, had brekky. Then I got ready for the wet walkies. Arwen didn't seem to mind too much, and we walked the longer route, with the added new bit, so she really felt OK. 😊 It was dry at some moments, but it never lasted too long. Unfortunately... I tried to work a bit on my blog, but typing with an umbrella and leashed dog can be a challenge. 😉
When we got home, I headed to the PC, and worked on my blog a little. Then I headed downstairs and fixed some food. Arwen wanted walkies after that, so we headed out again. Just shorter walkies this time though.
After we got back, I got my tablet and I read a little. Then I wrote a bit for my blog. Another short walkies with Arwen and then I switched on the purple beast. I tried a new (to me) game called "Cult of the Lamb". Then, Arwen hinted that dh had to pee. I quickly let her outside and she sped off! Apparently she didn't need to pee that badly... But she'd seen the neighbor and her dog pass by! Sneaky little brown gall! She did a wee and got some snacks. And then she was disappointed that I took her back inside.
I logged in NMS and was joined by a sweet friend. We both had some things to do, so we chatted while we played our bits. Then, my quest didn't work as it should... 🤔 Another bug when playing in coop and doing certain quests, it seems. But... I needed an item to make progress, so I had to try and get another one of the items... 🤔 Another sweet friend joined and she had the item for me, yay, bless! I traded her with something she needed that I had, and I went back to single player and continued the quest line. 😊
Around 13:30 I logged off and prepared for the bedtime routine. The neighbor texted me, just as I was texting her, that the dog wanted out! 😂 Well, mine shared that feeling! 😇 So we headed out for walkies.
I went to bed after that and quickly fell asleep. I woke once for the loo and then again, about half an hour before my alarm. A new day, a new week even, had begun!

I read today that Terry Pratchett’s ‘Night Watch’ is to be made a Penguin ‘Modern Classic’ next year, I need to make a note somewhere to make sure I get a copy of the new edition! Anyway it inspired me to focus my search for tonight’s quote on that brilliant book!
I think this quote sums up my experience of the last few years!

Diary of an ASD Squirrel. Day 379 , Sunday 10/11/2024 Sunday started around 07:45 because I was an awake & there seemed little point staying in bed. Made breakfast & cleaned up then watched a Bettany Hughes history thing with Mrs S.beige.party

Friday meandered aimlesly in this morning, like it was their first day of retirement.
I’m up & breakfasted & I’ve made an appointment with a Dr Simmons (never met them) because my Dr of choice has no prebookable slots for the foreseeable!
Also because it’s a phone slot then it could be at anytime this morning! 🙄
Hey ho will just have to get comfy with my book or maybe play a game I can pause quickly.
Before all that though I best go hang out the laundry.

it's meeeee again!!! 
I've had a decent night, but it could have been a bit longer. I fell asleep rather quickly and woke only once for the loo...
Today I'll have to go to Nijmegen to visit the hospital to pick up new hand braces. I only asked for the right hand one, as I'd used the left one less, so it was still good. But I think the gentleman has ordered two new ones anyway. Ah well, it's good to have a spare then. 😊
The weather should be good enough for some nice walkies later. A bit misty, and chilly, but it should be dry. So that's a big plus. 😊
Hopefully I can get some gaming done today, when I get back from Nijmegen. I also need to hoover as I didn't do that yesterday. My back was not having it and I didn't want to trigger it... As my leg was already sore and that was enough to deal with...
Arwen seemed very happy yesterday and it was such a joy to see. I know the vet said that the injection would take time to work and she'd need a second dosage for it to be more effective. But still, I'm seeing a change in her already. And that's just so lovely to see. She always loved walkies, the more the better, so if she can enjoy those again... That's just so awesome!
I know the parcel to my friend will take some time, and I know that it's been the weekend, but I keep on checking the app to see if there has been any progress... 😇 Patience is not my thing... 😂
I'm glad that I have my PT again on Tuesday. My muscles are just too annoying... 😔 And with the cold weather being here now... That's never an improvement. But... I have warm clothes, I ordered some thermal socks as well, so I should be OK, I hope... I thought I had thermal socks but I guess I've worn them out and ditched them. So I ordered some new ones, as I do need warm feet when walking Arwen. We walk slower so that means there's more time to get chilly... 😊
I hope everyone had a good weekend with loads of fun. 😊 Mine was definitely a good one with fun walkies and good gaming. A new week has begun! Let's make the best of it...
