Trip out to #Whitby today! I've lived near here most of my life but only just read Dracula for the first time so there may have been a minor amount of infodumping at Other Half about places that were important in the book, bless him.

Got a little car #knitting done, bloomed many Big Flowers for the pikmin, and found a sculpture of a lady knitting a gansey so there was a small amount of infodumping there too 😅

Not pictured are all the sweets we bought, which I will be making a start on just as soon as I've warmed back up.

A lovely day out, which will now be ruined because we play each other in #FantasyFootball tonight 🙃
The ruins of Whitby Abbey
View of Whitby from the graveyard at St. Mary's Church, one of the major landmarks in Bram Stoker's Dracula. Photo is taken from near the grassy cliff edge, looking down over nearby houses to the harbour below. Across the water is the other side of the harbour with pleasingly old classy buildings at the top of the cliffs and some very tacky shops and arcades along the bottom.
Holding up a navy blue stockinette knitting project in front of the car window. It looks like a grey and featureless day outside.
A sculpture of a woman sitting on a bench. She's wearing what looks like a long, old-fashioned high-collared dress, and is knitting a gansey sweater. The whole thing seems to be made out of some kind of dense jumbled wire. Beside her is a sign titled "walk with heritage" with more information about ganseys.
