For #FensterFreitag. This year I saw 2 different glass windows with a revolutionary message scratched in them.

First is from the Quincy House. 1776.

The second from the #GLX 2024.

From the window of his house, reportedly Josiah Quincy could see Boston Harbor activity. On his window he scratched: "October 10th 1776 Governor Gage Sails for England with a fair wind" in curvy script The window pane is cracked now, and set into a frame inside the house. But on the tour they describe him watching the harbor from his cupola room and writing this there.
One of the windows from a Boston Green Line train door. Etched into the glass is the text: "For Luigi" with a star in the center and an upward pointing arrow. In the background the Museum of Science is visible but blurry, and the window is a little grungy. But I think the message is clear.
