Il y a un an, le 16 février 2024, sortait 𝗧𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗸, le cinquième album de 𝗜𝗱𝗹𝗲𝘀.
𝗧𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗸 reste un album qui divise. Si le groupe n'a cessé d’évoluer, cet album semble moins marquant que son prédécesseur, Crawler, que je considère comme leur véritable album de la maturité. Là où 𝗖𝗿𝗮𝘄𝗹𝗲𝗿 trouvait un équilibre parfait entre rage et introspection, 𝗧𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗸 semble plus hésitant, moins percutant.

𝗝𝗼𝗲 𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗯𝗼𝘁 continue d’affiner sa voix, troquant les hurlements contre plus de nuances, ce qui est une bonne évolution. Mais si cette approche servait parfaitement 𝗖𝗿𝗮𝘄𝗹𝗲𝗿, elle manque ici d’un réel souffle émotionnel. Musicalement, l’album tente des expérimentations, mais peine à retrouver l’intensité brute qui faisait la force du groupe.

Alors, 𝗧𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗸 est-il leur album le plus faible ? Pour moi, oui. Non pas mauvais, mais en demi-teinte face à un 𝗖𝗿𝗮𝘄𝗹𝗲𝗿 beaucoup plus abouti. Reste à voir où 𝗜𝗱𝗹𝗲𝘀 nous mèneront ensuite.

#Radio Irrtum! is a German language #radioShow exploring the sonic vastness of the #underground. Emitted transmissions may raise your attention for new unheard #music all over the genre spectrum all over the planet. Also it's totally fine to ignore that German language aspect - 'cuz it's all about the #music!

This issue felt strange to produce, as it happened abroad, with only my microphone and my laptop: Because of a difficult to handle issue with my parents (still going on). On the other hand, doing that helped me to stay sane… and that's partially because there is:

Die seltsam funkelnde Radiosendung, in der wir die planetenumfassenden Weiten des musikalischen Untergrunds erforschen.

Es fühlte sich übrigens komisch an, diese Sendung unterwegs zu produzieren, nur mit Laptop und Mikro – aufgrund eines (andauernden) heftigen Krankheitsfalls bei meinen Eltern. Aber irgendwie hat es mir mental geholfen, das durchzuziehen; vielleicht auch, weil folgende Genres dabei waren
