I read 'The Attack' (2016) by Lo'ïc Dauvillier and Glen Chapron adapting the original book by Yasmina Khadra, which is confusingly a pen name of an Algerian (male) former military officer. The book was depressing as one might expect, but an interesting stab at showing many different viewpoints through one assimilated character's story of personal tragedy full of political tie-ins.
