Yes. Idk enough about US politics, but I wonder to what degree politicians steeped in the myth of benevolent imperialism & knowing its death toll around the world even understand what democracy is, let alone value it.

The system designed by the founding fathers for other white, male landowners had built-in defences against democracy, eg, the senate & the electoral college.

In the lead-up to the presentation, he said his slides were scrutinised, and he was given detailed instructions on what language to use. He recalled being told not to refer to Arab Israeli citizens as “Palestinians”, even if they identified as such, and to avoid phrases like "at the border of Gaza”. Even a map of Gaza was deemed “unacceptable”. “It was all very Orwellian,” Smith said, referencing the British dystopian novelist George Orwell. “It's pretty much straight out of the pages of 1984.”

Yes, I take your point.

I know very little about US politics, but I've read enough commentary on Biden to know his take on, eg, crime, US interventions & wars, etc has often been callous. And also his Zionism & racism against Palestinians.

Just bcz a politician does some good things doesn't mean he hasn't also initiated & carried out policies that have damaged many people.

In addition, the record shows he accepted more money from the zionist lobby than any other senator.
