“A look of shock,” definitely. Though I wonder if it’s surprise that the other cat did it, or that they’d been caught. Just as we’re told dogs have figured out how to show (but don’t necessarily feel) guilt, I detect at least a modicum of feline lookout “guilt.” Or maybe that’s just, “Run!”
