Is #SloppySaturday a thing?

Today's hike around Afton's north prairie involved the gamut of snow, ice, slush and mud!
Husky Tonttu leads hiker Jeff in anti-slip cleats down a messy trail along the edge of a prairie. The trail is covered in a mix of snow on the edges and icy mud where it's melted and pooled in the middle. A park map on posts provides direction on the side of the trail to the right.

We weren't the only humans and canines enjoying the snowy remnants of winter today.
A series of footprints, both human shoes and doggy pawpads, cover a snowy trail. The top layer of snow is clean and white, while the bottoms of the footprints reveal a yellowish slushy layer underneath.
