Zeena is not a great fan of the long trips, but she knows how to settle in and save her energy for the exciting stuff when we get out of the car. She's been extra bored with routine lately, and is quite clearly VERY HAPPY to be on vacation again, especially places that she clearly recognizes.

Tonttu is happy to be with his humans, whatever they're doing and whatever they're eating. But even he seems to recognize the cabin and the stops on the way to get there.

Husky Tonttu looks over the barrier from the back seat of the car as human Jeff drives with a smile on his face. A wintry scene with birch trees can be seen outside the driver's window.
Huskies Zeena and Tonttu snooze in the back of the car. They're on a flat padded space that is not as big as they're used to due to crates of food and supplies stacked to one side.
Perky, happy and alert husky Zeena trots towards the viewer down a path with a thin line of birch trees between it and Lake Superior beyond. It's covered in snow and shining in the sun where not shaded by trees.
Husky Tonttu leads human Jeff down a well trodden trail in snow along the edge of Lake Superior, with a scattering of trees on both sides and a snow-covered bench on the left. It's sunny, with scattered clouds in a blue sky.

Yes, we're off on another mid-winter adventure! While it's still not as much snow up in northern Minnesota as they like, it's still plenty to ski on and MUCH better than it was this time last year.

We stopped at Two Harbors on our way north to get the huskies some lunch, and then a chance to explore the waterfront before we hit the road again.

A human and two huskies investigate a snowy point jutting out in a large body of water. They're distant, barely identifiable, with the human in the middle holding leads that are fully extended out in opposite directions, with dogs at each end. The snow on the rocks on the shore shine in afternoon sunlight coming from the right, though the sky above is gray with the underside of banks of clouds, with one sliver of blue poking through.
