There is a very strong push right now in my community on Facebook, which is where most of the community "discussion" happens.. for alternatives to Facebook.

Are you seeing this or hearing about it second-hand like me?

This is the first time I've seen or heard of a real push out of Facebook since the Cambridge Analytica scandal.

What's the go-to alternative on the Fediverse, or will it be a mixture?

Does Friendica have groups? It is familiar to how Facebook was in its early days, might be a low learning curve.

Not on Meta anymore and only 3 friends continue to contact me. Maybe it will take something worse than this to pry them off the addiction. 😢

@Steven Rowe @Chris Alemany🇺🇦🇨🇦🇪🇸 Yes, #Friendica has group functions: public groups / ‘forums’, restricted groups and private groups. The last one only works within Friendica, the first two can be joined by users from all over the #Fediverse.
I don't know how similar it is to FB, as I don't know FB.
