There is a huge, huge difference between, "There is a whole infrastructure in place for society to help people kill themselves," and, "Society does not punish people who kill themselves." The former is far more likely than the latter to incentivize society not to invest in creating the care infrastructure necessary to make people's lives worth living.

While I mostly agree with you, it is very much not true that that question is easily answerable. You forget that suicidal people often don't have the best mental health – something that tends to interfere with your ability to research something(/remember that something is researchable) or with going through with something frightening (ask me how I know…) –, that they not always have access to internet, money and autonomy and that they're not always even physically able to do it (e.g. bed-ridden).
