Now the US is arresting sick people who get angry when denied treatment.

Men don’t get arrested for using threatening #language. But this woman did

Briana Boston had reportedly just had a medical claim denied when she said to the person on the phone: ‘Delay, deny, depose’

On Tuesday, Florida’s Lakeland #police department charged Briana Boston, a 42-year-old mother of three, with threats to conduct a mass shooting or act of #terrorism.

What did Boston do, exactly? She was rude to a customer service representative. #acab #ceo

One of my best friends who served with me in combat had an issue last week. He was at the VA and they were trying to force him to do something he didn't want to. He raised his voice as he got more frustrated.

They put him on the psych ward, heavily medicated him, put him through every test they could come up with, which he passed. They didn't release him for 4 days.
Counter to that going forward is to go hard "no-contact" with the psych industry and anyone you have reason to believe would summon them.

Of course, this being the VA that might be their intention: to reduce their caseload by one.
I do my best to stay away from the VA, but I'm still working and have private insurance. He's rated 100% and the VA is his only option. Unfortunately, there are some employees there that hate their job and take it out on the vets.
😱 isn't that illegal?
Anyone can put you up for evaluation in the US. They can hold you for a week. I had no idea until my asshole flatmate did it to me.

They let me out after a couple hours, said he was drunk and was causing a scene. He wanted my room for his girlfriend. No apologies, nothing.

They just came in and took me out of my office/bedroom. Because some idiot, drunk, hippie guy was in a mood. He didn't even remember the next day.

I'm never going back to the US.
That flatmate needs to be punished as the snitch they are. Make sure his girlfriend knows how ruthless he is-and that she could be the next person targetted at any time. Cutting off his access to sex will hit him where it hurts.
whatchutalkingboutwillis?! I thought that 💩 was over sinec the 80s unless you're homicidal/suicidal...?! And that they can't commit you against your will more importantly!
Involuntarily medical hold. My buddy was getting pretty pissed, so they wrote up that they were concerned he might be a danger to himself or others.
That sort of shit is a major reason I choose NOT to carry medical insurance. No psych coverage means anyone playing these games does so on their own dime as I would refuse to pay bills for unauthorized anything.
@RustyBert that I rely almost entirely on self-help medicine.

Oh yeah-this may not be something everyone can do. My father was a medic in WWII and taught be some of what he learned, and I have to do considerable research to keep on top of things.
