Today we visited the Whitworth Art gallery in Manchester specifically to see the new Barbara walker retrospective Being Here.

If you are in Manchester before it closes in January I strongly recommend visiting this stunning & poignant exhibition of Walker's work;

its powerful, brilliant & thought provoking while exhibiting her extraordinary talent for figurative representation.

An absolute triumph of an exhibition.

BREAKING: #PalestineAction steal sculptures of #Israel's first president, Chaim Weizmann, from the #University of #Manchester.

Weizmann secured the Balfour Declaration, a #British pledge written 107 years ago today, which began the #ethniccleansing of #Palestine by signing the land away.

Weizmann described the #indigenous #Palestinian population as "the rocks of Judea, obstacles that had to be cleared on a difficult path".

From the Balfour Declaration to today, #Britain remains an active participant in the #colonisation, #genocide and occupation of #Palestine.

I really hope that everyone had a very Happy Halloween. Nothing beats this time of year, when the nights are drawing in and you have the comforting glow of Jack-O-Lanterns fluttering throughout the night.

As trick or treaters came knocking at peoples door, it was wonderful to speak to so many people within our South Manchester community. Parents and kids were all in good spirits and costumes were creative.
