Hartlepool Beach

Taken on my first photography visit to Hartlepool in Nov 2024. This photo was a bit of an afterthought so unshared till now.

The sun had just broken free of the clouds and was casting golden light across the sand, I decided to take this last shot as I walked away from photographing the posts.

Looking up the Venetian canal between the Doge's palace on the left and the New Prison on the right, seen through a tiny carved hole in the enclosed Bridge of Sighs, which frames the view. The canal is full of gondolas, and in the distance the Ponte del Canonica is packed with tourists.
