Eilean Donan Castle in the Highlands of Scotland The castle was founded in the thirteenth century, and became a stronghold of the Clan Mackenzie and their allies the Clan MacRae. In the early eighteenth century, the Mackenzies' involvement in the Jacobite rebellions led in 1719 to the castle's destruction by government ships. Lieutenant-Colonel John Macrae-Gilstrap's twentieth-century reconstruction of the ruins produced the present buildings.

After narrowly surviving being in path of one of the recent #LAfires , LA's #MagicCastle home of the exclusive Academy of Magical Arts has become a donation drop-off and pickup center for fire relief.

The donation event came only days after the historic #landmark site was forced to close its doors and evacuate as a fire spread across the iconic #HollywoodHills, right behind the venue, in #RunyonCanyon.
