📢 Palestinian doctors raise funds for Gaza medical education --

The Palestinian Doctors’ Association in Europe, known as PalMed, has raised more than $150,000 to support medical students in Gaza through the Gaza Medical Education initiative.

The sum was raised during a conference at the Royal College of Physicians in London on Saturday.

A quadcopter dropped a grenade at the entrance of the Kamal Adwan Hospital. One medic was critically injured and is undergoing surgery. Other people who were in the area were also injured – they are being treated now in the hospital but without the necessary medical supplies.

Dr Asmaa Abu Hamada, the only remaining surgeon at Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza, speaks to MEE.

“Despite my young age and recent graduation from medical school, I was forced to be the only surgeon in the operating room who performed the operation completely alone,” she told MEE’s correspondent in Gaza.

Kamal Adwan Hospital became the only hospital capable of providing services to the residents of the northern Gaza Strip.
