With later seasons one can witness that the producers really tried to fit the expectations of us customers. There were some quite strange stories and character decisions involved. It is some kind of mixed bag. The show has its ups and downs.

But compared to today's STAR TREK it is gold when it comes to storytelling and character development.

This shows how bad today's STAR TREK really is. And I am not even mentioning #section31 ...

I’ve loved Star Trek since I attended Hollywood High School. I asked my friend Chris Coon what his dad was working on, and he said, “some science fiction thing, it sounds pretty good”.

I saw Section 31 last night, and just hated it, it was just so far off (Roddenberry) message. I especially despised the screaming Vulcan-shaped Dalek, that particularly pissed me off. The whole thing reminded me of a bad TV pilot.
