Mein #thinkpad mit #ubuntu läuft einfach mal so viel flotter ohne die ganze Bloatware von MS. Ich seh es anders herum, durch diese Konsumenten unfreundliche Weise stelle ICH meinen Support für Microsoft ein und bleibe dauerhaft bei Linux und unterstützte lieber eine solche distribution ✌️

Here's your starting point! Their Linux team maintains this list of platforms that support not only Fedora, but @ubuntu as well! And it's not strictly speaking the products that you can buy, but also the history of platforms that have been tested for Linux.

It's a super valuable official resource for ThinkPad fans, basically lol

Und ich hab' mich erst gefragt, warum mein #Thinkpad X250 nicht mehr lädt und dann, warum der Stecker auf einer Seite nicht mehr richtig reingeht und schräg drinsteckt. Keine Ahnung, wie das recht harte Kügelchen da rein kam, aber es muss wohl in meiner Laptop- oder Fahrradtasche gewesen sein. Rausbekommen habe ich's übrigens mit der kleinen Pinzette, die in fast jedem #Victorinox Taschenmesser dabei ist. Schwerkraft alleine half nicht.

On a related note:
The owner of the #Thinkpad also complained about it becoming slower and if she should upgrade to windows 11. As windows 10 is supported until October: I advised her not to at this moment. (I also don't know if she could upgrade at all given the requirements for windows 11.)

Running Linux myself, I opted for that, but I can't support her laptop.

Does anybody know of any #berlin based communities that I could point to, that provide #Linux support for not tech-savvy people?
