🎶 For the past 5 years, every morning I wrote down what song was stuck in my head on a loop when I woke up.

🎶 At the end of every year, I have been posting the statistics on my blog. And featuring the top 5 earworms of the year.

🎶 Here is this year's post:

🎶 Do you also wake up #earworms? Do you tend to write them down? What were yours this year?

Wait! I'm not the only one waking up with songs in the morning? What an awesome idea to log them. Now I'm worried, I might not be able to fall asleep tonight because I will wonder what I will wake up with and if I will remember to note it down.

Lol, I have leared through the blog posts that this happens to other people too. I have a weekly planner that leaves little spaces next to each day's rubric, so I have been noting the songs there.
Does going to the toilet in the middle of the night count as waking up?
Lol yeah I considered that when I woke up multiple times a night :D I usually write down the one I get up with, but sometimes I put down two for the same day. In the statistics, I counted those as separate days though, so it's a little cheating.
Oh, other people have them too! But is anybody else reading them like fortune cookies???
I started making a playlist of the songs that were in my head, completely forgot about that, I should start it again. There were about two weeks last year when it was the Mandalorian theme music every day.
I wonder if the playlist would become a self-fulfilling prophecy :D
it's very possible. I certainly didn't want Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous to occupy a place in my brain, but maybe putting it on the list gave it permission.

For me in the last few days it’s been “Diggy Diggy Hole” since I was recently introduced to Wind Rose.
I'm pretty sure, for me at least, that dreams have soundtracks.
Which makes sense in a way, so much of how we see and interpret the larger world is through media.
TV, movies, YouTube videos, you name it all have soundtracks.
Your subconscious probably just assumes stories should have soundtracks. And Inserts them.
As far as why you remember them, it's probably the most cohesive thing you could take away from a dream. You know the song, it's recognizable.
First note performed. Was the same song as in the last days. How did you come up with writing it down?
I honestly don't remember :D Maybe after a conversation about earworms
This was cool.

My latest, for about four days is The Beatles "It's just another day, doo doo doo DOO-do it's JUST ANOTHER Daaaaay."
