Love story from Classical mythology that has a happy ending.
Go.

#mythology
Deucalion and Pyrrha.
Is that a love story though?...
It is if you're 8.

You didn't say "complex love story possibly involving swans or a bull"
No I mean story where the main plot is romance :D
I know I know.. I just think Deucalion and Pyrrha is a story about loving enduring, which is uncommon. But not really a romance.

Unless you're 8, my youngest daughter thinks everyone starting happy, and staying happy, is the best love story. Narrative complications are not her cup of tea.
That's not a bad philosophy :D
Tor and Siv, perhaps?

Although, I suppose we don't have much of a _story_ about those two.

ETA: Also not Classical. My bad.

Cupid and Psyche.

Thought that one feels too obvious.
I guess Orphée and Eurydice also counts because he did return to the underworld eventually so that he could gaze upon his beloved Eurydice forever.

PS: I only use the French names when speaking in English about Greek myths, thanks to Cocteau. Orphée and Eurydice are also the names of my two cats.

But also swore off women in the meantime and got murderized for promoting love between men... :D (in some versions anyway)
I kinda count that one as an ancient folktale rather than a myth, but yes it counts
Turning into a tree never sounded like a bad ending to me.
Odysseus and Penelope
