Text from article:
Donald Trump may have spent his first days in office granting indulgences to the violent rioters who sacked the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, but God forbid he be asked to show mercy to the marginalized groups he plans to scapegoat as president.

Late Tuesday night, the president demanded an apology from Bishop Mariann Edgar Budde and Washington National Cathedral, after Budde pleaded with Trump to “have mercy upon the people in our country who are scared now,” and to “honor the dignity of every human being” during a Tuesday service held in celebration of his inauguration — and which Trump attended.
The #OrangeExcrescence would see Bishop Budde as the worst example of DEI. Will he want to interfere in Church appointments, to get rid of women clergy?

So predictable, even I predicted it. Next he will try to take revenge. It is essential that every church member takes the Bishop's side. I'm not religious so this would be my suggestion to any group attacked by Nazis. At this stage, Christians still have them outnumbered. You have to fight now because later will be too late and 'Christian' will have lost all meaning. 'Coopting the church' is one of the items on the fascist warning signs list that he hasn't ticked yet.
