#introduction

Primarily I write #ScienceFiction and #humor, but I've also written darkly comic stuff, fabulist satire, and some literary fiction. Once I blogged squibs, screeds and other drivel (some pure & some quite tainted with meaning.)

My cats keep me sane(ish).

If you want to understand my rich inner life, I recommend this #book: Alpha Max.

Occasionally pimp some of the others.

It occurs to me that many of my fellow tootsies may enjoy my 2012 novel, The Fridgularity. It's about a web-enabled fridge taking over the internet and all other digital technology. It's a dozen years old, but I think it holds up pretty well.

Or you can get it for free if you sign up for my highly irregular newsletter. I mean that in two ways.

I don't write horror, but there is a strong #Halloween vibe in this novel, which won an IRDC award for best humor in 2013.

The Fridgularity us about an AI becoming self aware, taking over all digital technology, and only wanting to talk to one dude (a frustrated web designer) through his web enabled fridge.

(Yes, that's a raven on top of the fridge.)

"This is your last chance... You take the blue squeaky toy—the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red squeaky toy—you stay in Wonderland, and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes." –Meowpheus

"Hey Bob, I know you've just dropped acid and all, but we really need the cover illustration for the Easter issue of Space Dorks magazine."

Old pulp-style illustration of two spacemen. One pointing, the other holding the pointing dude's head like he's about to snap his neck. They are both looking at a giant pink bunny, holding the planet earth and shooting laser beams out of its nostrils.

Hello fellow toots! I'm re-pimping this quote from our fellow tooter, Kit (@Kit ), who gave Alpha Max five stars!

"I really enjoyed this fun romp through alternate universes, following alternate Max Tundras (what a perfect character name too). Reminded me of Vonnegut, smart, wryly funny, and makes you think. I’m glad I picked this up!"

The real question is HOW do we want time travel? Upgraded Delorian? Old-timey British Police box? Fancy art nouveau design with upholstered seat? HOW do we want time travel!
