Ich nutze auch #gnome und hatte auch lange Probleme mit Flameshot wegen fehlender Berechtigung. Aber mittlerweile funktioniert es auch auf meinem #ubuntu 24.04.1 LTS.
Versuche es mal als #flatpak zu installieren (org.flameshot.Flameshot).
Wenn man etwas gegen die Farbe Lila hat, kann man die auch in den Einstellungen noch anpassen wie auch vieles mehr, LG ✌️

Small reminder for anyone who doesn't read fully (or at all) release news yet is using our #nightly #flatpak for testing latest code: you need to uninstall then reinstall the nightly flatpak with the commands given in the RC2 news:

If you don't do so, you will be stuck on an ancient build without ever getting an update since we changed the AppID (it allows to see both stable and nightly versions side by side in your desktop).

Essentially #flatpak is to desktop Linux what #docker is to servers IMHO. It tries to solve the "works on my machine"-problem by essentially bringing the developers machine to the end user.

Although now everyone has "the same machine" now a lot of new problems are arising, especially because with Docker and Flatpak the *developers* need to care about the "package". Which may work in some cases, but often might also lead to important updates not being distributed all over the place
