Genuinely having a tough time of it. House hunting is not going well, though we've 3 more viewings lined up for tomorrow.

The news about #pip is terrifying - PIP makes up about 33% of my income so losing it will be devastating, and there's not a lot I can do about it as my condition fluctuates. I'm having a really tough day during a really tough time, and I'm about ready to crawl into bed and not emerge again til it's all better.

I'll just remind you that PIP - where the eligibility criteria are proposed to be being tightened - is an IN WORK benefit, and that the fraud rate is 0%, according to the DWP's OWN FIGURES.

#Labour has indicated that the changes, the reductions, in welfare benefits for #UC and PIP are to "encourage people back into work"

BUT

#PIP is an out-of-work benefit. People recieve it to assist with day-to-day living. The matter of employment or not does not enter into it. Their justification for reducing PIP can only be to save the Treasury money

Also

38% of UC claimants are in work. Reducing their benefit can not be seen as motivation for employment because they are already working

If you tell the #DWP that part of your disability means you can’t do phone calls; they not only make your #PIP renewal a phone appointment and ignore your request to make it in person, but also randomly call you multiple times the week before just to fuck with you.
