I've got a Pixelfed instance up and running, but it's not properly fetching info / activities from other servers. I can search for users, see profiles and follow them, but it looks as if their following / follows are 0 and that they have never posted. Plus my own follow count remains at 0 and my timeline empty.

The Diagnostics troubleshooting gives a ✅ for everything, and there are no errors in the logs. Any ideas how to further troubleshoot?

Anyone got tips on troubleshooting a process with high context switching?

It's `avahi-daemon`, so I'm guessing it's something syscall network access related? but 5353 isn't a privileged port and it should be using some kind of wait on the socket, right?

one office computer keeps freezing when it runs out of memory. it starts to swap and it becomes unresponsive. i suspect that swap file is much smaller then ram size. there's no other way than to hard reset.

what are steps to make sure this doesn't happen ever again?
